Privacy Policy
We welcome your visit to our website and your interest in our company. Protecting your personal data is important to us.
Note: A draft based on common GDPR text blocks. Please adapt it to the tools actually used (hosting, analytics, map, form dispatch, cookie-consent tool) and have it reviewed before publication.
1. Controller
Responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Industriparts GmbH
Max-Planck-Str. 38, 50858 Cologne, Germany
Tel.: +49 (0)2234 2190084 · Email: sales@industriparts.com
VAT ID: DE456913451
2. Data protection officer
Appointment of a data protection officer is not currently mandatory under the legal thresholds. You may exercise your rights (section 11) informally at any time.
3. Hosting & server log files
We use a hosting provider within the European Union (IONOS SE, Germany) on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
When calling up the pages, the web server automatically collects information (“server log files”): browser type/version, operating system, referrer URL, file called, date/time and the IP address (truncated). This data is not attributable to specific persons and serves technical delivery, security and optimisation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Cookies
We use exclusively technically necessary cookies. The cookie we set, pll_language (retention: 1 year), stores which language version you last selected and is technically required so that the website can be delivered in the language you chose.
Legal basis: § 25(2) TDDDG — this cookie is strictly necessary; without it the language switch does not work. We currently do not use analytics, marketing or tracking cookies, and your data is not passed to third parties for advertising or analysis purposes.
If we ever deploy such technologies, we will obtain your explicit consent through a consent-management tool beforehand and update this policy accordingly. Consent you have given may be revoked at any time with future effect.
5. Contact form & enquiry (RFQ)
If you contact us via the contact or enquiry form, we process the details you provide (name, company, email, phone, part numbers, quantities, message, optionally uploaded files) to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures/contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data are deleted after final processing and expiry of statutory retention periods (commercial/tax law: regularly up to 10 years for receipts).
6. Email, phone, fax
If you contact us by email, phone or fax, your details are stored for the specific purpose. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
7. Web fonts & external resources
This website embeds fonts and libraries locally. There is no connection to external CDN services such as Google Fonts; your browser loads all resources exclusively from our domain. This improves privacy and load times.
8. Google Maps & maps
If we embed a map, it happens only after your explicit consent within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without consent, no connection to Google servers is established.
9. Web analytics
Currently we do not use any tracking cookies for analytics without consent. If we activate tools such as Matomo (self-hosted, anonymised) or GA4, we will obtain your consent beforehand and add details on provider, retention and the right to object.
10. Your rights as a data subject
- Right of access to your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure of your data, unless a retention obligation exists (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability in machine-readable form (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent at any time with future effect (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
- Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
11. Data security (SSL/TLS)
This page uses SSL/TLS encryption for security. You recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the lock symbol. Your entries cannot be read by third parties.
12. International transfers
If data are processed outside the EU/EEA, this only occurs with service providers providing appropriate safeguards (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses per Art. 46 GDPR).
13. Retention
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as statutory retention periods require. After the purpose lapses or the period expires, data are routinely deleted.
14. Changes to this policy
We adapt this privacy policy as soon as changes to the legal situation or our data processing occur. The version published on this page applies.
